CIDB will step up enforcement to ensure that all products used in the construction projects in the country will conforms to the requirements under the Construction Industry Transformation Programme’s Quality, Safety and Professionalism thrust. CIDB has already been enforcing these requirements for imported materials at point of entry and started this enforcement to locally produced materials as well; by April 2017 CIDB expects to expand further enforcement at construction sites and manufacturing plants. Those who do not comply may be fine up to 500k RM.
